The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) at St.Lourdes Engineering College was established in 2022 with an initial intake of 30 students, which has been increased to 60 from the academic year 2025. The program is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University. As one of the most sought-after branches, the department attracts students who aspire to build expertise in securing digital systems, networks, and data. The vibrant and progressive department aims to achieve global standards through strong academic commitment and industry-oriented learning. Laboratory sessions are conducted in a structured and systematic manner. The department is equipped with advanced cyber security labs featuring modern tools for ethical hacking, network security, digital forensics, and secure coding—ensuring hands – on training that aligns with the University curriculum while enhancing real-world skills. Tutorials are designed to provide conceptual clarity and problem-solving proficiency. Students are taken for industrial visits every semester to gain exposure to current industry practices.
